• The Scam Response: "We are working from home today," or "We only accept bank transfers," or "Our office is closed."
• The Real Response: They give you a floor number and a contact name.
• Evidence on [SmartAdvances]: Reviews state "calling their customer service is pointless... they take ages to pick up" . This suggests the physical office might be a virtual office (mailbox only) rather than a real storefront.
