I started using loan apps from 2021 until 2023, and it has been a terrible experience.

I began with Sure Credit and LCredit, and they would call me every morning, reminding me that my loan was due in three days. They kept warning me that if I didn’t pay, they would defame me and ruin my reputation. While I wasn’t too afraid of the defamation, I was worried about my contacts because I am a marketer and a devoted Christian.

I kept paying my loans diligently! Just yesterday, I found an old notebook where I had written down how much I owed. It was more than a million naira. I didn’t even spend this money; I used it all to pay off other loans.

Even after selling everything I had, I was still in debt, and it seemed never-ending. The only way to escape these loan apps is to intentionally stop paying, even if it means they will defame you. It’s just part of the process.

You need to go through the pain, heal, and move on, or else you’ll keep paying them forever. Stop giving them that 5k or 20k every week. You deserve to keep that money for yourself.
