NO DIRECT HACKING – BUT DATA THEFT IS A REAL AND PRESENT DANGER

No mobile application can "hack" your bank account directly in the technical sense. However, applications in the Dangerous Loan Category can steal sufficient personal information to facilitate unauthorized access to your financial accounts.

How account compromise happens with dangerous loan apps:

  1. Credential harvesting: App captures your banking login details if you enter them anywhere on your device Your Risk: HIGH – They sell your credentials to fraudsters
  2. SIM swap facilitation: App collects enough personal data (NIN, BVN, etc.) to enable SIM replacement fraud. MODERATE – Requires additional social engineering
  3. Debit card cloning: If you entered card details for "verification," these are stored and potentially misused VERY HIGH – Immediate unauthorized transactions

CRITICAL WARNING:

If you downloaded this application from anywhere other than the official Google Play Store or Apple App Store, treat it as potential malware. Apps obtained via direct APK links, Telegram, WhatsApp, or third-party websites have bypassed platform security screening and may contain malicious code.

Immediate protective actions:

  • Never enter banking credentials while this app is installed on your device
  • Change all financial passwords from a different, trusted device
  • Enable two-factor authentication on all bank accounts
  • Contact your bank to flag your account for unusual activity monitoring
